Honeycomb grease filters are made from high quality acid resistant aluminum throughout. The filter media is made from 50mm wide aluminum foil, which is specially corrugated into a herringbone shaped channel. This foil when placed one on top of the other will form a curved honeycomb channel. When the incoming grease laden air passes through this media, the air changes direction. The resultant change in inertia causes the grease to cling and condense onto the aluminum surface. This prevents grease form entering the exhaust system. This honeycomb media is encased in a 50mm thick aluminum extruded frame, which is screwed together. All frames have drain holes for the cooking fat to drain in to the canopy channels. All filters are fitted with steel plated retractable handles. Large D handles, which are fitted offset, are also available on request at extra cost. Honeycomb filters are fully washable panel filter units. They provide extremely low resistance to air flow and ease of cleaning. Aluminium mesh 8mm range hood filters Aluminium mesh 12mm range hood filters Domestic Range hood filters are a special heavy duty filter with excellent fat and oil retention characteristics. The frames are made of 0.8 mm or 0.12 mm formed aluminium sheets pop riveted together. The media within the filter including the top and bottom pieces of aluminium mesh are made from expanded aluminium sheets. The filter quality is far superior than the filter that originally came with your range hood due to the quality of material we use and the efficient construction methods implemented. We can supply any size grease filter or charcoal filter you need. For any other thickness filter please see our commercial filter section. As a general guide please use the following formula: Aluminium mesh range hood filters 8 mm thick filters: - Convert the size of filter to square centimetres and multiply that figure by 3.1 For example; if your filter is 300mm x 300mm x 8mm, therefore the price of the filter is; 30 x 30 = 900cm² = 900 x 3.1 = $27.90 + GST + freight Aluminium mesh range hood filters 12 mm thick filters: - Convert the size of filter to square centimetres and multiply that figure by 3.7 For example; if your filter is 300mm x 300mm x 8mm, therefore the price of the filter is; = 30 x 30 = 900cm² = 900 x 3.7 = $33.30 + GST + freight Carbon impregnated range hood filters 8mm thick 8 mm thick filters: - Convert the size of filter to square centimetres and multiply that figure by 3.6 For example; if your filter is 300mm x 300mm x 8mm, therefore the price of the filter is; = 30 x 30 = 900cm² = 900 x 3.6 = $32.40 + GST + freight Activated carbon foam range hood filter
